There are numerous things going down this week:
Tuesday
4:30 – Health Equity club meeting where “Children of the Mountain” (documentary by 20/20) will be viewed and FREE PIZZA. Room 105.
5 oclock – SOSA (Student Surgical Association) Club General Meeting. Come learn about one of the biggest clubs on campus and get some FREE CHINESE FOOD in Room 101.
Wednesday:
12 oclock – AOA Convention Interest Meeting. The 2009 American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Convention will be held in New Orleans November 1st-3rd (Sun-Tues). If you plan to attend the convention there is a MANDATORY interest meeting this Wednesday (8/26/09) at noon in room 105. We are working hard to get a headcount to accurately book hotel rooms.
5 oclock – Candlelight Vigil. Held right outside of the rear entrance of DCOM (facing the undergrad campus). This is to remember those who have given their body so that we may study.
INTRAMURAL Sports Captains meeting. The first sport will be volleyball. If you would like to get together a volleyball team (4,5,6,7+ people, only 4 will play at a time) use this Sign Up sheet and have your captain bring it to the meeting Wednesday. It will be upstairs in the 2nd floor lounge at 4:40. Spouses or Significant Others are allowed provided they sign a waiver before playing.
Thursday
5 oclock – SAACOFP invites people to learn about the family medicine club at 5 oclock in room 105. Free Heavy’s BBQ for members and those signing up ($10 membership fee).
