CONGRATULATIONS TO JESSICA SMITH, OMS-II for her selection of STUDENT D.O. OF THE MONTH!! Jessie’s nominations speak for themselves and therefore have been included verbatim for your reading pleasure; enjoy!
I would like to nominate Jesse Smith for Student D.O. of the Month. During Anatomy of last year, she helped me tremendously. She didn’t mind taking extra time out of her busy schedule to help me succeed when I was personally floundering. She was excellent at teaching me the intricacies of the human body, and for that, I am grateful. With her help, I actually succeeded in passing Anatomy. Her concern for others is astonishing; she took valuable time out of her schedule to help a fellow student succeed. That is just one example of what kind of a person Jesse is and what kind of a physician she will undoubtedly become.
Jesse is also an amazing student in the classroom as well. She’s always answering and asking questions, probing further into the realm of medicine in order to wrangle the beauty out of every subject. She truly enjoys learning and is good at it, as well. She’s the President of Sigma Sigma Phi and is involved in other activities on campus as well. She’s an outstanding member of the Class of 2013 and is an excellent representative of what a good student should be. I have no doubt that she will do great things in her career and make a difference in medicine with her concern for the welfare of others. She will make an excellent physician and her patients will only have the best care available, as it should be. She’s an inspiration to all of us with her knowledge base and drive to become the best physician that she is capable of becoming. She’s a fellow colleague, a fellow student, and a fellow friend. It is only fair that such a deserving colleague be granted this title. As someone that has been the fortuitous recipient of her gracious acts, talents, and care, it gives me great pleasure to nominate Jesse Smith.
