Starting tomorrow, WHMS will be selling t-shirts for only $5! We will also be selling the Go Red for Women “Red Dress” pins for $1! The sale ends Wednesday, so be sure to look for us at lunch or find me wandering around and I’ll get you hooked up!
Now, the t-shirts are the same as last year, so the 100% of the money raised from them will go to the American Heart Association! Sizes vary, and we’ll be selling them first come first serve. Make sure to get yours soon or your size may be sold out!

As requested by classmates, we are selling tables again (informally- I will not be sitting outside the lecture halls). Attached are the 2 styles of tables. I purchased “the new ONE” and LOVE it. SOMA , in partnership with Better World Books, is having a book drive. Better World Books is committed to providing funds and books to sub-Saharan Africa, and to date has collected over 28 million books during book drives like ours. Not only does this provide more with the opportunity to read, these book drives have diverted more than 25 million pounds of books from landfills.
There is no need to buy anything, just bring in those textbooks and books that you no longer use. Clear out some space on your shelf. This drive will continue until January, so be sure and bring back books from home! Just drop the books in one of the drop boxes around school.

We need YOU(DO, PA, & nursing students, faculty and staff) to drop off your donations (gifts for boys and girls aged 0-14, shoeboxes, wrapping paper, tape) to the boxes located on the 2nd floor lounge by Wed, Nov 11th, then come help us pack and wrap the shoeboxes on Friday, Nov 13th at 4pm. (see next page for donation ideas) If possible, bring a $7.00 donation or more on Nov. 13th to help pay the cost of shipping each shoebox or bring monetary donations to Norma Wells office on the 4th floor.

Hey everybody-
I hope that you all had a restful Fall Break. This is a quick e-mail and reminder about an awesome opportunity that is coming up THIS FRIDAY EVENING, at 6:00 pm at Dr. Williamson’s house. We’re planning on grilling out hot dogs and hamburgers (you can roast your hot dog over the bonfire we’ll make if you’d like, as well as do smores later on.

Dr. Williamson will do a presentation about the upcoming Spring Break medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic at the meeting. Dr. Neil Barry, who has been to this facility numerous times is also going to come. You don’t HAVE to come to the meeting if you want to go on the trip, but we’ll try and address as many questions about the trip as we can… PLUS, THERE WILL BE FREE FOOD!!! So come on out, bring the kids, bring any lawn games you might have (like bocce ball, frisbee, etc.) and enjoy the evening with us!
